Caution: Men with Guns at Work
Those crazy gun laws are back again. They’re like cockroaches. They keep popping up in ways you don’t expect them: in your shoes, in the toaster, in the cockroach of the cockroach that just crawled out of the toaster.
A new law in Florida allows employers to bring their guns to work, but there isn’t a law that allows the customers the same right, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Well I can see why that would be true. For instance, if everyone at the Department of Motor Vehicles were allowed to carry guns, the police department would rack up a lot of overtime.
A U.S. District court judge upheld the law saying that customers could carry weapons into a retail store, even if they have a concealed weapons permit. The judge also ruled people cannot drive a car into retail stores, even if they have a driver’s license and insurance.
Of course, the National Rifle Association took the first available chance to jump in the spotlight and praise the judge’s decision calling it “a huge win for the people” and then firing wildly into the air.
