Gang Signs of the Times
Why does Florida seemingly have all of the dumb laws in this country? If you live in Florida, probably the best way to afford any kind of misdemeanor or felony charge is to just sit in your room, take a breath exactly every 10 seconds and not make eye contact with any other living object. Good job citizen!
Apparently, two people are facing charges for posting pictures of themselves flashing gang signs on their MySpace page because it promotes gang activity, according to the Naples Daily News.
They each could get five years in state prison for posting the pictures on their website. Five years?!?! Were they also burning an orphanage in the photos or something?
The law they are being charged under states that anyone using electronic media in a gang affiliation to “intimidate or harass other persons, or to advertise his or her presence in the community.” You mean gangs are using MySpace and Facebook to advertise their presence? They must put together some mean flash mobs.
