John McCain has been able to accept public donations for his campaign, unlike Barak Obama who basically told America that he doesn’t need their money, the way Paris Hilton would to her parents if she had any free will, dignity and initiative of her own.
McCain’s been able to do both, however, because of a loophole in the law, according to the Daily Kos.
Ah, good old loopholes. Where would we be without them? A place where laws actually meant something? Maybe.
The way he’s able to raise more money is because the funds are funneled through his party first, then to his campaign, according to the site. The RNC is now like a big money security blanket, except everyone else but them is left sucking their thumbs.
So that means he’s now getting about $70,000 on average per donor. That means if he only had 70,000 donors, they’d each be coughing up $70,000. My math might be a little off.
