Why do guns create so much hassle in the law? Is it because the people who are steadfastly for them and against them generally don’t have the cognitive faculties to think them through? It is because guns are such a hot button issue that they get pushed through legislatures as a tactic to gain public support? Is it because we love guns too much? Well, I don’t want to say yes to the last one, but we would consider giving a man and his gun the right to marry before we give the right to gay people.

According to the Philly Daily News, a gun law is causing quite a fire (heh, heh, puns are funny) in the annuals of the state, legislative and judicial branches.

Philadelphia passed some guns laws and the National Rifle Association filed a suit objecting to it forcing the state to file a suit back about their suit. In case you’re still paying attention, this is still about guns.

The NRA claims the law violates a state Supreme Court ruling that states only states can pass gun restriction laws. The NRA also claims their guns talk back to them after they fire them.

It gets weird when the police chief vowed to arrest and charge people for violating the new laws, and the district attorney vowed not to prosecute any of them. Come on folks, how many times do you have to spell team before you realize there is no goddamn “I” in it?
