Where’s There Smoke, There’s Laws
We have nothing against smoking laws. Smoking has been proven to be a dangerous, unhealthy and disgusting habit and the state should encourage people not to smoke without erasing their choice to do so.
But the law shouldn’t make smoking even worse for your health.
One Indiana law that requires cigarette companies to make cigarettes more “fire safe” has made it harder on some cigarette smokers, according to the Indianapolis Star.
The cigarettes burn out quicker after they are discarded so they don’t cause huge raging fires, known to smokers as the “downside to smoking.”
The problem is smokers have to puff harder and faster on the cigarette delivering more smoke into their lungs at a faster rate. Maybe they can just eat a nicotine patch instead of wearing it when they want to quit.
